Stranraer and District Local History Trust was constituted in 1998 at the instigation of Stranraer & District Chamber of Commerce. The objectives of this Trust are to research, record and publish information on local history for the benefit of the community. With that aim in mind, the Trust has published the books listed elsewhere on this website.
As might be imagined, publishing - even 'small' books - is an expensive business, and the Trust would like to thank various individuals and organisations for financial help and support with the publication of the earlier books.
Our latest news can now be read online here.
