The objectives of this Trust are to research,
record and publish information on local history for the benefit of the
community. With that aim in mind, the Trust has published the books listed
elsewhere on this website.
The Stranraer and District Local History Trust is
creating an archive of audio tapes and discs from local people with a story to
tell or historical detail to relate.

History Trust was constituted in 1998 at the instigation of Stranraer and
District Group for Economic Growth& Regeneration.
